MIKE Force
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Mobile Strike Force Command, or MIKE Force, was a key component of United States Army Special Forces in the Vietnam War.[1][2][3][4][5] [6] They served primarily with Montagnards, comprised of the best special soldiers selected from the persecuted Degar people, who from 1960 to the egress of the United States from Vietnam waged special warfare against the Viet Minh, NLF (Viet Cong), and PLAVN oppressors in various detachments.[7] The MIKE force had a critical role in the search and rescue of downed American pilots in Viet Nam. While some would have this article deleted in the pretext of a7, "CSD A7 Article about a person, group, company, or web content that does not assert the importance of the subject.", it must have previously neglected to assert the importance MIKE had to intelligence and its relevance to the history of the Vietnam War in which it was a valuable asset. The conventional unit alternative was Tiger Force.
