Hi Michael,

Hope all is well for you! I was wondering if you had a spare photo we could use at the "bass clarinet" article at Wikipedia--preferably of you wailing on your horn. Right now all we have is a photo of the instrument itself, pretty boring.

Wikipedia is now the 8th most visited website in the world, and having you as the representative shot of a bass clarinetist in action would be very cool.

Best,

Thanks for the offer! Here are a few more recent pix ... well more or less recent.

So thanks again, and let me know if these work.

Hi Mike,

I like these! I think the b&w one showing the whole length of the horn is good.

In order to use it, the photographer has to release it under a "free" license (we're mainly using the Creative Commons-by 2.0 license), which means that anyone who finds the photo on Wikipedia can use it freenly without paying, for any purpose, although it would be specified that credit is given to the photographer (and a link to the photographer's website). Otherwise I can put a link to your own website.

Can you tell me where and when that photo was taken, and by whom?

And what is the make of this horn, and what is the bell made of???

I don't know the name of the photographer, but I was issued permission to use them as I see fit. I see fit here. You can link to my site if you wish... The picture was taken in 2006 in San Antonio, TX

The horn is a Selmer, ca. 1996, The bell is made by Morrie Backun in Vancouver.

Thanks

Mike
