[edit] Ultimate Character Articles

While I understand a creator's desire to protect his work, please refrain from removing {{mergeto}} tags from the Ultimate character articles you have created. These merges are currently being discussed per the WP:COMIC talk page. If you wish to have the articles remain, vote to oppose merge or bring up your complaints at the WP:COMICs talk page. --Newt ΨΦ 13:57, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

It has been brought to the attention of WP:COMIC editors that you seem to disagree with the consensus to merge Ultimate character articles with their 616 counterpart, as you unilaterally reverted the merge after the consensus was drawn. Please, if you take issue with the decision of the WP:COMIC editors, bring it up on the WP:COMIC talk page. --Newt ΨΦ 21:49, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
The merge of the Ultimate Characters pages you create does not appear to be fair. In almost all the cases, the discussion for merger was less than 5 days, in my opinion an unreasonable amount of time for such a discussion. I believe these articles should be separate, and will support you in any efforts.
I had no control over the duration of the discussion. However, the only reason to split the ultimate characters from the non-ultimate is to include more plot (or at least so far as I've seen) and that's not what we're here to do on wikipedia. If adding plot is what is desired, join Marvel.com's wiki. --Newt ΨΦ 23:50, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
I have no idea how to.
Join Marvel.com's wiki? I'm pretty sure you just register on the website. --Newt ΨΦ 04:26, 9 August 2006 (UTC)
Dear Unknown and Newt: Unknown, I thank you in agreeing with me in that Ultimate characters constitute their own continuties and thus deserve their own pages. However, this idea is not to be, as somehow Wikipedia Gods have decided otherwise. Newt, I do not agree with the decision made about Ultimate characters, but, as you may have deduced, have left the matter in the hands of others. To the both of you, I really do not appriciate my talk page being used for a squabble - a back-and-forth truly initiated by Newt. Perhaps the both of you will exchange e-mail addresses and continue your discussion elsewhere. Unknown, I support your opinions wholeheartedly, and Newt, I really tire of being harassed by you. --User:Miharakamikazi 14:34, 8 August 2006
My sincerest apologies for the use of your talk page for a back-and-forth, but I hope that you will understand and excuse this final note in response to your accusations. I am not trying to hassle you, and actually wish that you would discuss your disagreement with the WP:COMIC editors' consensus with the editors themselves, instead of treating them (I guess myself included) as holier-than-thou. If you put forth a reasonable argument for your position, you may change some minds. Please assume good faith. None of us are out to get you. Barring any further attacks or accusations, or future need to contact you, I will leave your talk page alone. Again, I apologize for what you saw as harassment. --Newt ΨΦ 20:49, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Request for assistance

I'd love to have your input on the List of people from Montana page that I have been working on enhancing. Any additions/corrections would be greatly appreciated.
