This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dreddup, and it appears to include a substantial copy of http://www.geocities.com/dreddup1/biography.html. A tag has been placed on Dreddup, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.

[edit] Industrial music in the former SFRY

Thank you for contributing to the SFR Yugoslav pop and rock scene and thanks for reminding us of a very important act such as Borghesia. Although the referencing in the article is not properly formated yet (with footnotes and all), you can note in the references section at the bottom that certain relevant printed sources were used according to the wikipedia rules: this includes for example the ex-YU rock encyclopedia which includes bands' biographies written by the notable rock journalist and critic Petar Janjatović and other stuff. The point is that we should use sources and avoid personal research on the subject. For that reason I find the following points in your recent edits disputable:

  1. Wikipedia:No original research: your industrial music subsection seems to be an original research, it should be supported by some sources, not just a personal essay on the development of the industrial music in the SFRY.
  2. Wikipedia:Notability: Undoubtely, Laibach and Borghesia were/still are acclaimed acts (even internationaly), but I do question the notability of some of the other mentioned artists. Of course my doubts may be wrong, for that reason I would like to see some sources on them: biographies, discographies, awards if any etc.
  3. Some of the artists are indeed relevant, however I doubt if they really belong to the industrial music genre, for example: the early 1980s synthpop group Beograd, were they ever really Industrial during their existence? Or Kozmetika (if this is the same band that once featured Miško Mihajlovski)?
  4. As far as I could see, some of the mentioned artists are said to have emerged in the mid-1990s. They do not belong to the SFRY period but to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. This article is "from Triglav to Vardar, from Đerdap to Jadran".

Although Wikipedia in general is far from perfect and rules are often avoided, and although Im not a "die-hard" Wikipedia legalist, I suggest that at least we keep the SFR Yugoslav pop and rock scene article as good as possible and lets not turn it into a sketchboard. Im afraid I will remove/modify the section now and lets both try to find any books, websites on the subject. Thanks --Dzole (talk) 22:19, 17 December 2007 (UTC)
