Mihai Mocanu

Mihai Mocanu (born 24 February 1942) is a retired Romanian football defender.

He was born in Constanţa and debuted in Divizia A with Petrolul Ploieşti in 1963. He remained with Petrolul for the remainder of his career, except for the years 1972-1974 which he spent in Omonia Nicosia. He won the league title in 1966 with Petrolul.

Mocanu got 33 caps for the Romanian national team between 1967 and 1978. He represented his country at the 1970 FIFA World Cup.

In July 2006 Mocanu had a surgery for his foot and a part of his foot was taken off from him because of healthy problem.
