Mihai Beniuc (November 20, 1907, in Sebiş, Arad (then Austria-Hungary) - June 24, 1988) was a Romanian poet, dramatist and novelist. He graduated from the University of Cluj in 1931 majoring in psychology, philosophy and sociology. This was reflected in his writing, particularly the novels. He was the President of the Writers' Union of Romania and a member of the Romanian Academy.
