"Piñero's ashes were scattered across the Lower East Side of Manhattan as he asked in the 1985 "Lower East Side Poem." Worth mentioning, but I'm not sure this qualifies as 'a case of life imitating art'. Edjack 10:07, 17 May 2007 (UTC)
