Miguel Ángel de las Cuevas Barberá aka Miguel (born 19 June 1986 in Alicante, Valencian Community) is Spanish football player who currently plays for Atlético Madrid of the Spanish La Liga. His usual demarcation is attacking midfielder.
Miguel started his career in the second division, with hometown Hércules CF. In 2006-07 he signed with Atlético Madrid.
During preseason, in the Teresa Herrera Trophy match versus Nacional Montevideo on August 13, 2006, he suffered a serious ankle injury that kept him out of action for more than one year.
On December 12, 2007, Miguel finally debuted with the colchoneros, playing the second half in a Spanish Cup away match against Granada 74, in the round of 32.
