Miguel Sebastián Gascón

Miguel Sebastián Gascón (Madrid, 1957) is a Spanish politician and member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party. He is a current member of the Spanish cabinet serving as Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism.

He has been Zapatero's personal economic adviser since 2004.

On October 25, 2006 he was personally chosen by Prime Minister José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero as socialist candidate for the Madrid Mayoral elections in 2007[1] however he lost to the People's Party (PP) incumbent Alberto Ruiz-Gallardón.
