Miguel Saiz (b. 1949-05-17) is an Argentine politician latterly of the Radical Civic Union (UCR), currently serving as governor of Río Negro Province.

Saiz studied at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba and became a lawyer. He led the National Register of secured credit and was Vice President of the Caja Forense de Río Negro and Presidente of the "Sancor" insurance co-operative. In 1983 he became involved in the UCR and became a councillor in General Roca in 1989. In 1991 he was elected mayor of the city, re-elected in 1995 and serving until 1999. He became a provincial deputy in 1999 and was president of the UCR-Frepaso Alliance block.

Saiz was elected governor of the province in 2003 defeating Carlos Soria. He was a leading supporter in Radical ranks of then Peronist President Néstor Kirchner but was opposed by leading Justicialist Party politician Miguel Ángel Pichetto in the 2007 governor election. Kirchner considered backing Saiz at the expense of his own party [1] and subsequently played no role in the state election. In the end Saiz won re-election over Pichetto by around 5% with the support of various leftist parties. [2] He was subsequently suspended by the Radical Civic Union.
