Miguel Negron

Miguel Negron (born August 22, 1982 in Caguas, Puerto Rico) is a professional baseball player with the Chicago White Sox. He was drafted in the 1st round (18th overall) in the 2000 MLB Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays. On May 19, 2006, the Blue Jays placed Negron on waivers to make room for Ty Taubenheim on the 40-man roster, and he was promptly claimed by the Chicago Cubs. In the off-season following the 2006 season, he was designated for assignment by the Cubs and then signed a minor league contract with the St. Louis Cardinals.
