Miguel Littín

Miguel Littín was born on 9 August 1942 in Palmilla, Colchagua Province, Chile. He is a movie director and screenwriter. Littin was born to a Palestinian father and a Greek mother.

Littin was exiled to Mexico shortly after Augusto Pinochet came to power in a violent military coup which ousted the democratically elected president Salvador Allende, a socialist, on 11 September 1973.

Littin was made the subject of Nobel Laureate Gabriel García Márquez's book "Clandestine in Chile: The Adventures of Miguel Littin."
