Miguel Diloné

Miguel Diloné (Born November 1, 1954, Santiago, Dominican Republic) is a former Major League Baseball switch hitting outfielder. He played 12 seasons with the Pirates, A's, Cubs, Indians, White Sox, Expos, Padres.
Dilone began his career as a September call up in 1974 at the age of 19. Used primarily as a pinch runner with the Pirates he had 21 stolen bases in 4 seasons.
In 1978 he was traded to the A's where he stole 50 bases, but 1980 was his career season. Batting .341, he had 30 doubles, 9 triples and 61 stolen bases with the Indians.
Diloné finished his career with 267 stolen bases.
Miguel was also famous, and has been mentioned on several recent broadcasts, for his "swing-and-run" tactic of breaking from the box while swinging the bat.
