Migrant Support Foundation Ltd is a charitable institution which was established in 2006 as an initiative of City International Christian Church to provide support services to the large number of migrants and refugees arriving in South Australia.

Migrant Support Foundation Ltd provides services to all new arrival migrants and refugees in the areas of settlement; recovery of dignity; the development of a sense of security in Australia and education relating to the control and prevention of physical, emotional, and sexual abuse.

Migrant Support Foundation Ltd operates a public benevolent institution called Refugee CARE. Refugee CARE was established for the specific relief of refugees in need, with a view to providing financial and material assistance and support in necessitous circumstances without purpose of private gain for particular persons.

Migrant Support Foundation and Refugee CARE is committed to helping new arrivals and refugees from all backgrounds, regardless of background, religion or creed.

Migrant Support Foundation offer the following services and classes which through education and empowerment address the following subjects:

Personal dignity and security; Settlement assistance (long-term); Domestic skills (such as unfamiliarity with gas cooking or the unsafe use of domestic appliances or unsafe storage of dangerous household chemicals); Parenting, discipline and the Law; Relatives left behind; The tenets of Australian law; Self esteem & healthy assertiveness; Isolation & helplessness; Abuse counselling

Services of Refugee CARE include;

Arranging rental of suitable accommodation; assisting in providing household goods, furnishings, and clothing; liaising with the appropriate government agencies to obtain ettlement assistance; helping in understanding lease, bank and utilities commitments; assisting in the purchase of food and other basic necessities; familiarising with the new environment.
