Migdahl Or (Hebrew: מגדל אור, lit. Tower of Light) is the largest youth village in Israel, housing and educating over 6,500 orphaned, impoverished, underprivileged and new immigrant children.
The organization was founded by Israel Prize laureate Rabbi Yitzchak Dovid Grossman in 1972, to provide housing, physical and spiritual nurture, and education to children from infancy through high school. Children receive adult mentors, friends, clothing, medical and dental care, libraries, enhancement courses, and career skills.
Migdal Or currently admits over 700 new children per year. The organization also helps low-income families with their problems in order to aid their children, and offers specialized after-school programs to immigrant children.
