Template Paramaters
{{MIexittop}} Always use this to begin an interchange list. it formats the table and headers. This is required, omission may result in an incorrectly formatted table and/or page.
{{MIexit}} This is the opening tag to format the actual list
{{MIexit}} parameters
county The county name through which the road travels
cspan The number of rows through which the county will span (for containing multiple intersections within a single county)
location The name of the town, city, municipality or township through which the road travels
location_special Use this when the town, city, township does not have an individual article, it will not create a wikilink
area Use city, town, township, village, etc. Use to disambiguate article links.
lspan The number of rows through which the location will span (for containing multiple intersections within a single location)
mile The milepost, or distance from origin, rounded to the nearest tenth
exit The exit number
road The name of the crossroad. To assist in formatting these roads use the following templates, they will generate the correct code:

SHORTCUTS

  • {{subst:MIint/IN|route|shield_width}} to insert an Interstate, replace route with the number of the interstate, shield_width with the width of the shield in pixels (20 for 1 and 2 digit shields, 25 for 3 digit)
  • {{subst:MIint/US|route|shield_width}} to insert a U.S. Route. Replace route with the route number, shield_width with the width of the shield in pixels (20 for 1 and 2 digit shields, 25 for 3 digit shields)
  • {{subst:MIint/MI|route|shield_width}} to insert a Michigan State Route. Replace route with the route number, shield_width should always be 20, unless you are referring to M-553, then it should be 25.
  • {{subst:MIint/BL|route|shield_width|city}}> to insert an Interstate Business Loop. Replace route with the route number, shield_width with the width of the shield in pixels, and the city the business loop serves
  • {{subst:MIint/BS|route|shield_width|city}}> to insert an Interstate Business Spur. Replace route with the route number, shield_width with the width of the shield in pixels, and the city the business spur serves
  • {{subst:MIint/BR|route|shield_width|city}}> to insert a U.S Business Route. Replace route with the route number, shield_width with the width of the shield in pixels, and the city the business route serves
type Five different designators can be used here to indicate a particular situation about the intersection:
  • noaccess if the roads cross, but there is no direct access between the two
  • concur use this when a concurrency begins and ends
  • decomd if an intersection, or portion thereof, has been decommissioned
  • unbuilt if an intersection, or portion thereof, is unbuilt. Mainly used for planned/future junctions
  • closed if an intersection is closed indefinitely (not for temporary or construction related closures)
street The name of the street, if it has one besides its main designator. For example, M-102 in Michigan is also known as 8 Mile Road.

  • Any notes related to the particular intersection, or if it's a terminus.
  • Also include control cities for interstate and U.S. Route junctions here.
  • To generate wiki markup indicating I-94 West to Ann Arbor use {{subst:MIint/INW|Ann Arbor}} This will create: Ann Arbor indicating that I-94 heading west goes to Ann Arbor. To create similar control city designations using this template follow these rules: INN, INE, INS, INW create indicators for North, East, South and West, respectively.
