The image linked here is claimed to be used under fair use as:

the photo is only being used for illustrative and informational purposes, in an article about the subject of the photo;
a free replacement would be very difficult to obtain, the technology is still in testing and is not yet publicly available.

This is a copyrighted image that has been released by a company or organization to promote their work or product in the media, such as advertising material or a promotional photo in a press kit.
