Midwest Magic Jubilee
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Midwest Magic Jubilee is an annual magic convention held in Missouri. Founded in 1956, it originally switched locations each year from St. Louis to Kansas City, though currently its permanent home is in St. Louis, which is also the headquarters (Ring One) of the International Brotherhood of Magicians.
Hosting approximately 1000 attendees, it comprises a mix of magic lectures, demonstrations, and competitions, bringing in professional magicians from all over North America, and dealers from all over the world. It is said to have been Dai Vernon's favorite convention.
The 50th anniversary event took place in August 2006, and featured performances by magicians such as Whit Haydn and Oscar Munoz.
