Midnapore Collegiate School

Mindapore Collegiate School established in the year of 1834, is one of the oldest schools in Bengal as well as India. The students and teachers of this school made contributions in Indian Freedom Movement during the British Rule. The environment here is very much conducive to academic excellence. Khudiram Bose, a martyr in the freedom struggle was one of the notable student of this school. Some other eloquent alumni of this institution are Bankim Chandra Chattopadhyay and Manik Bandopadhyay. Famous Brahmo Samaj leader Wrishi Rajnarayan Basu as head masters had also contributed in building up the tradition of the institution. Also with the pace of time, it modified itself to much higher level, again on current situation every year school shows tremendas result not only in board exams also in every competitive exams also,Among the schools in west bengal it holds a prominant position as a reputated institution for its infrastructures ,student & teachers qualitywise.
