Midland Public Schools is a public school district located in Midland, Michigan, USA. The student population has been static since the 1970's; however, enrollment is now declining. In 2005, there were only 908 new births in Midland County. The newest facility in the district is Herbert Henry Dow High School, built in 1968, so the district does not spend money building new schools.[1]

As of 2006, Midland Public schools is 91.8% White, 2.8% Asian or Pacific Islander, 2.5% Black, 2.2% Hispanic, 0.5% American Indian and 0.2% Multi-Racial.[2]

The school district has its own community cable channel known as MPS-TV. The station broadcasts via the city's Charter Communications cable provider. A broadcast schedule and additional information is available on the MPS-TV web site. On cable it's channel 17.
