Midland Pacific Railway

The Midland Pacific Railway (later known as the Nebraska Railway) was a Nebraskan railroad based in Lancaster, Nemaha, Otoe, Seward, and York counties. [1] It was organized in 1866 in Nebraska City, NE. It ran from there to Fort Kearny. After much local fundraising, Midland Pacific built into the new capital city of Lincoln, NE on 22 April, 1871. [2]
