Middleton Cheney is the largest village in South Northamptonshire and is situated between Banbury and Brackley.

The main local amenities in Middleton Cheney are the parish meeting rooms (which can be hired), the village library, situated on the main road, and the doctor's surgery, situated at 4 Horton Road. There is also a veterinary surgery, pharmacy, post office and supermarket. There are three pubs: The Red Lion, The Dolphin and The New Inn.

In the village there are three churches: Methodist church, All Saints church (C of E), and New Life community church (Baptist).

The Baptist Church (New Life Community Church) has served the village since the late 16th century, affiliating with the Union of Baptist Churches in 1740.

The Rev'd John R. Jeffs was inducted as the minister in September 2003. Rev'd Jeffs is a member of a family that has been part of Middleton Cheney life for hundreds of years; many of the Jeffs family still live in and around Middleton Cheney.

The Baptist Church in Middleton Cheney has undergone many changes through the years and is currently seen as a Church embracing modern styles of worship.
