Middlecliffe
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Middlecliffe is a small Yorkshire hamlet straddling the road between Darfield and Great Houghton, close to Barnsley, where Middlecliff lane joins the B66273. It is mostly a collection of current and former council houses, served by a Post Office, small corner shop and a Working Mans club. Often confused with Little Houghton, the village is served by two bus stops. Middlecliffe is the birthplace of footballer Wilf Copping, who played for Leeds United and Arsenal in the 1930s.
