Middle Beach, South Australia, is a small town located 50 km north of Adelaide, off Port Wakefield Road. A boat ramp and small creek are located at the southern end of the shellgrit beach. Notable for its samphire wastelands and awesome fishing in the mangroves, he ye.

In June 1982, the body of fourteen year old Peter Stogneff was found at Middle Beach, cut into three pieces. The similarity of the killing to that of others connected with the 'Family' and Bevan Spencer von Einem led to inquiries into von Einem's role, but no charges were laid.
