MIDI to MP3
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
To create an Audio CD from MIDI music, the files need to be converted from MIDI to MP3 or WAV format. The batch MIDI to WAV conversion is very useful for creating musical collections on an Audio CD. The resulting WAV or MP3 files can then be either burned to an Audio CD using any CD burning program or downloaded to a portable MP3 player.
Direct conversion is the best way to convert MIDI to MP3. An essential difference with Direct MIDI to MP3 Conversion is that this method provides direct MIDI conversion (rendering) without sound recording. The main advantages of direct MIDI conversion are the CD audio quality, the conversion speed and the silence during conversion. There's no need to listen to the MIDI music and adjust recording levels while converting. Conversion speed is up to 10 times faster than original MIDI file time. Musicians can use their own SF2 Soundfonts for fast rendering and to change the instruments quality.
