Category talk:Middle-earth Men
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Would anyone object if I moved this back to the more precise Middle-earth Men? Lower-case men refers to adult males of all species in Tolkien's work. It's a different word.
From the style guide (emphasis is mine): "Capitalize the first word and any proper nouns in headings, but leave the rest (including ordinary nouns) lower case."
In Middle-earth, Men, Elves, Dwarves, and Hobbits are all proper nouns. This is an important distinction. (If you don't believe me, ask the Witch-king.) --Aranel 19:39, 28 Aug 2004 (UTC)
Moved from Category:Middle-earth men, a location which was particularly inappropriate for Vidumavi. --[[User:Aranel|Aranel ("Sarah")]] 18:45, 6 Sep 2004 (UTC)
