[edit] American Empire and Overseas Expansion of the United States

I think I understand exactly what you are getting at. Hopefully other people will understand as well. XinJeisan 00:50, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

Please offer some explanation why you think it is a good idea to retitling the overseas american expansion article. It seems the new title is even more an example of editorializing then the previous title, and as you already noted was voted down http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:American_Overseas_Empire#Merger_Proposal.Thanks, Mrdthree 03:28, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

Was a mistake, you can go ahead and revert it. I maintain my change to the American Empire article and template were justified though. - MichiganCharms 03:50, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] FAI League of Ireland

Please stop unecessarily adding the British flag to Irish articles.--Vintagekits 21:38, 12 July 2007 (UTC)

When Derry City FC stop being part of the League of Ireland, I'll be glad to. -MichiganCharms 21:41, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
I find it highly offensive that you refer to me as a political POV pusher of the FIFA 08 talk page and a troll on setanta'747's talk page. Please strike through those comments and apologies or I will refer them to relevent admin. In case you have noticed I have actually add the Ulster Banner to a number of articles over the past few days.--Vintagekits 07:46, 11 August 2007 (UTC)

If you look at the UEFA Champions League, UEFA Cup, and really any other international competition football articles you'll clearly see that while the Ulster Banner is not legally speaking the flag of Norther Ireland, it is consistently used both on wikipedia and in real life to refer to the Northern Ireland national and club football teams. I am Catholic and have a very republican view of Northern Ireland, but you clearly don't understand football. The St. George's Cross, which is now routinely used as the symbol of England's national and club football teams, was not always used. Fans of these teams used to use the British Flag in order to chear on their teams, but recently the flag of England specifically has become more widely used and thus has been adopted on wikipedia. I would assume that the same process happened in Northern Ireland. 65.101.45.228 13:44, 21 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Who Wikiproject

Hey, bud, thanks for starting the wikiproject for The Who. I've watched and helped the article improve dramatically over the last couple years. Just wondering if you think there's anything particularly pressing or important that needs to be addressed right away, or what you think should be tackled first. Thanks! Clashwho 03:09, 4 September 2007 (UTC)

Are you referring to the genre list in the Infobox? I'm considering reducing it to four vs. the current seven. Clashwho 04:12, 6 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Who wikiproject

Hey there. I've created a new template for the Wikiproject at {{WikiProject The Who}}. If you'd like to use it, that's fine, if not, I'll just speedy delete it. Also if you'd like, I run a bot, GrooveBot who can tag articles in any category with the template. Thanks, GrooveDog (talk) (Review) 14:26, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] The Who

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for fixing London on the UK page! I have a rather silly question: Where do you get those cool signs you have on your user page (eg This user is an anglophil...etc)? Everybody has them but where do they get them from? Thanks! --Camaeron (talk) 21:30, 28 February 2008 (UTC) Cool thanks...now I cant find any I like..hahaha...! --Camaeron (talk) 21:45, 28 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Cardiff history

Hi MichiganCharms,

I have been trying to put together a History of Cardiff for a while now, having created the Timeline of Cardiff history, but the lack of time is the problem. Have a look at my sandbox, if you want to copy the info that I have got so far please be my guest, I do not own any information on Wikipedia. Generally I find the Cardiff page a bit of a pain in the XXXX to be honest with the amount of edit wars going on. So I use my time on other local pages instead, which I enjoy. Seth Whales (talk) 20:17, 29 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks

Thanks for that barnstar. Didn't notice it for a while because it went straight to my user page. Thanks, and I hope it does lead to a compromise rather than just another false dawn. It's almost tragic how many wasted hours have come about on the topic. All the best, Deacon of Pndapetzim (Talk) 08:12, 1 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Thanks also

Hi MichiganCharms, and thanks for the Barnstar. The problem with the Cardiff article is that very little extra content is ever added...but the point scoring is superb.

Let us hope things can change...you've made an excellent start...you've encouraged me to finally have a real go at doing the History of Cardiff, thank-you. Seth Whales (talk) 00:23, 2 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] hello

Saw your name in "members:wikiproject sikhism". i guess, from your userpage, you are new to this religion. If you cannot contribute to any article relating to Sikhism, that does not mean that you cannot improve upon the existing material. You can make corrections and sort out discrepencies. for example see Sikh. There is a lot that needs to be done. You can contibute if you feel like . thanks ....take careAjjay (talk) 17:02, 12 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Wikipedia:WikiProject Northern Ireland

Hi,

I'd like to take the opportunity to advise you on two matters which, being a member or former member of the Northern Ireland WikiProject or it's sister project on Belfast, you might be interested in the following submission about a recent terrorist attack Wikipedia:Northern Irish Wikipedians' notice board#News.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to ask for your help in reviving the Northern Ireland WikiProject. Given that there are only a small number of Wikipedians from Northern Ireland or interested specifically in the region, the project needs all the help it can get.

Cheers, --Setanta747 (talk) 13:06, 13 May 2008 (UTC)
