We had this discussion before about you deleting the marijauna use. You agreed last time to stop removing it. Stop messing with it. Cafe Nervosa 00:01, 31 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Canada 2006 Census Form Colours

Michaelm: It was late, and I apologize for not advising you of my deletion on your Talk page. My bad. That said, please elaborate on the encyclopedic nature of this contribution to assert its historical importance. Should you include the colours used on the online questionnaire? What about braille forms? How does this compare with previous census forms? -- Robocoder 20:42, 16 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Buzz Hargrove

Hi Michael - thanks for your contributions to the Buzz Hargrove article. I was wondering if you could add some sources for both the criticism and the defense of Hargrove? I think your description of the debate is accurate but expressions like "Many have said..." etc are so-called "weasel words" which we are supposed to avoid. Here are some tips for improving them. Thanks again! Robbie dee 14:41, 23 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Canadian Action Party

Michael, I wasn't aware that the Canadian Action Party had officially adopted social credit as an economic theory. Could you please provide a reference? Thanks. Ground Zero | t 11:30, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

Let me pont this out if you lock up social credit under Organizations and the Canadian Action Party there is a link for Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform (COMER). It will tell you in the COMER link. You can edit the Canadian Action Party page if you don't agree. Michaelm

I agree that there are links between CAP and COMER ("A number of CAP members also belong to the Committee on Monetary and Economic Reform (COMER) and have been influential in developing CAP's monetary policy...." - from the CAP article) and that there are similarities between CAP policy and social credit ideas, but that is not the same as saying that CAP is a social credit party. I think that that is far too strong a conclusion to reach from the evidence that we have. I have reviewed the CAP website, and not found any mention of wanting to provide a social credit dividend payment directly to individuals, which is a keystone of social credit theory. I'll make the changes. Ground Zero | t 20:06, 10 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Miquelon and Saint Pierre Currency

I know that the Canadian dollar is commonly accepted on the islands (as well as the American dollar), but is it really an official currency?--Filll 14:58, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Non-free use disputed for Image:18516.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:18516.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. [edit] Orphaned non-free image (Image:18516.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:18516.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:57, 24 July 2007 (UTC)

[edit] License tagging for Image:Belinda Stronach Image MainArticleImage-1-.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Belinda Stronach Image MainArticleImage-1-.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 10:05, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Image copyright problem with Image:Belinda_Stronach_Image_MainArticleImage-1-.jpg

Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:Belinda_Stronach_Image_MainArticleImage-1-.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. cohesion 02:04, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Saskatchewan Party

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Saskatchewan Party. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions in a content dispute within a 24 hour period. Additionally, users who perform a large number of reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring, even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not repeatedly revert edits, but use the talk page to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. [edit] Belinda

I know you're obsessed with Belinda Stronach, and I know that the fact that the photo we have isn't a precise reflection of her current appearance offends your sensibilities. But unfortunately, Wikipedia has rules around copyright — you can't just upload any random photo you got from another website to replace the current one, if we don't have the appropriate copyright permissions to use the replacement photo. You have to follow the rules of this site. Bearcat (talk) 19:52, 27 March 2008 (UTC)

Belinda isn't alone. Many public figures have unflattering pics. vıdıoman 05:19, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Belinda Stronach image

That image is on the Commons. You have to nominate it here. -Nv8200p talk 03:26, 28 March 2008 (UTC)

I'm going to explain this one more time: the fact that Belinda Stronach has changed her hair colour since that photo was taken is not a valid rationale for deleting a GFDL-compatible photo, and does not suddenly render the photo "unencyclopedic". The photo's caption already places it in its proper time context. Wikipedia has no obligation to change our photos every time an article subject happens to dye her hair — whether she's blonde or brunette at any given moment is really, truly irrelevant to why she's in an encyclopedia in the first place. Bearcat (talk) 21:42, 29 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Saskatchewan Party

Can I ask why you added {{Major Canadian Liberal Parties}} to the Saskatchewan Party article? It doesn't make any sense to me. -Royalguard11(T·R!) 17:11, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

The reason the party is a mix of Liberals and Conservatives. Also It makes no sense have a list of conservative partys in the Saskatchewan Party article so its better to removed both list or live both of them in because Sask party members support both the fed grits and the fed torys.Michaelm (talk)

MichaelM, have you noticed that every edit you make, seems to get reverted. Maybe you should think before you make an edit that is obviously going to draw up some controversey. If you would think twice just some of the time, I'm sure you wouldn't cause even close to the amount of trouble you have caused. Using common sense can go along way towards helping your cause. Just thought I would try to help you out bud, cheers. Howdoyoutodaybud (talk) 22:34, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
