Howdy stranger! I haven't seen you around these parts before.

I had a lot about Maverick in the James Garner article, but if you look at the "history" you'll find that some ornery sheriff, User:Wasted Time R, came along and moved it out, saying that it belonged in the Maverick article, not the James Garner one.

Here is what I had:

….Maverick, starring in the role of Brett Maverick (1957-1960), co-starring with Jack Kelly as his brother Bart Maverick (1957-1962), and later on Roger Moore, as younger brother Beauregarde ("Beau") Maverick (1960-1961; for one season-1961, Robert Colbert played another brother, Brent Maverick).

So, don’t be surprised if some guy black-hats your new info off to another ranch.

in the KACL (Frasier) article, from what source did you learn that KACL carried NBC news broadcasts? I don't remember ever hearing such branding in any episode. Very curious. Thanks in advance...

It was in one early episode. Frasier took a break for news and the station went to NBC Radio News. It was from an early season, recently shown on Lifetime. I am sorry I don't have the specific episode.

[edit] The Tucson Toros and the Tucson Sidewinders

Although you make a good point regarding the technical forebear of the Sidewinders, it's not that simple. There was essentially a "swap" in ownership, as I recall, and considerable continuity between the Toros and the Sidewinders in venues, management, staff, etc. All of the Sidewinders' online, press and fan materials (e.g. programs) trace their history through the establishment of the Toros, not to the Firebirds. Please see the Tucson Toros article, in which I explain the Toros/Firebirds/Sidewinders sequence in depth. The last version of the Toros to play at Hi Corbett was technically the former Firebirds moved to Tucson, stemming from a behind the scenes change in ownership. The team name in Tucson was always the Toros, most of its staff was the Toros staff, and the same personnel management personel remained through the transition to Sidewinders. Furthermore, the Sidewinders list only the Toros in their team history, never the Firebirds. To say that the Firebirds were the team at Hi Corbett and that the Toros moved to Fresno is misleading. [edit] The Indecency of "Miracle on 34th St." ?

Hi, I noticed you reverted my reversion of the addition of Miracle on 34th St to List of films condemned by the Legion of Decency‎. I reverted that addition because it looked like a facetious edit. On further inspection, I noticed that the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops' Office for Film and Broadcasting Movie Reviews -- the successor to the Legion's index -- classified Miracle on 34th St (1947) with the "A-II" rating, several steps removed from the "O" rating which is the successor to the Legions' "condemned" classification. On further inspection, Black Narcissus which was certainly condemned by the Legion, was revised to A-II in the USCCB movie reviews. So the lack of an "O" rating is not particularly indicative. But The Catholic Crusade Against the Movies, 1940-1975 (indexed on Google books) notes that Miracle on 34th St. was classified as "objectionable in part for all" (p. 64), which is to say a "B" rating (p. 60).
