[edit] Joe Murphy article
You haven't convinced me that the article should be kept around, but I've been wrong before. The AfD discussion should attract multiple opinions, and the admins can make a call from there. Is that so terrible? --Finngall talk 23:27, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
- No, and you have every right to be sceptical (gods know it's often an important quality in here). Still, commenting on your reasons for making changes to a page is the least you can do. --dllu 23:35, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
-
- I made no changes other than the (re)addition of the speedy tag (*and* the hangon tag, which I thought was only playing fair)--the reason should be self-evident: I didn't believe the subject was notable. It's not generally considered necessary to explain oneself on the article's talk page when applying a speedy tag, and I'm pretty scrupulous about notifying the original author. --Finngall talk 23:43, 3 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Creating multiple redlinks
I don't think you are helping the John Murphy article by creating multiple redlinks within in. Please consider making articles for each of those links then interlinking them within wikipedia. Kukini hablame aqui 17:04, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- On another note...we need to recreate an article for Farpoint Media. Would you be interested in building it here or on my userspace? --Kukini hablame aqui 17:10, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- I have in fact been in touch with the Farpoint people (Michael, Evo, and Summer), and they would love to provide whatever information we need. :o)
- I'd be glad to start the Farpoint Media article with the info I have and hopefully add more soon. --dllu 17:17, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Cool, let's start it here...to make sure it is tight before we take it back out there...do you want the info from the article that was deleted in AfD a while back or to start from scratch? --Kukini hablame aqui 17:19, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- Any info you have already compiled would be great! Feel free to leave it on my notepad. --dllu 17:23, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- It needs to be cleaned up and formatted correctly. Sourcing is key before we bring it back. Deltionists will be looking for clear evidence of notability. Kukini hablame aqui 17:32, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Joe Murphy (podcaster)
Just letting you know, our work was successful. The Joe Murphy article lived through the AfD. Also, have you looked at what I dropped in your User:Michael riber jorgensen/notepad page? I think we can now clear out Joe's info and work on the other one we need to revive. Kukini hablame aqui 05:43, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- I have seen it (and thank you very much), but have been really busy (edit: a thesis doesn't write itself). I will see what I can do shortly. --dllu 09:15, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Not a problem...and I understand busy. With your permission, I will work on the stuff in User:Michael riber jorgensen/notepad off and on until we are ready to launch it again. OK? Kukini hablame aqui 20:03, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Protect Your Republic Protest
Can we close the move discussion? I would prefer not to have a move template on a developing current event. Once the current eventness has expired we can then discuss the move idea again (if you still feel it would be necessary then). -- Cat chi? 16:19, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- That's fine. --dllu 17:47, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- Would you mind closing the debate? (Just to avoid confusion among people) -- Cat chi? 17:52, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Welcome!
Wlecome to the Podcasting WikiProject. Recently the project's progress has slowed considerably and I hope to see you active in the discussions taking place on the talk page, and working on our open tasks outlined on the project page. I know you'll be a great asset to our team, and I look forward to working with you. Ganfon 19:09, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Not butting in...just helping.

- Good to hear from you both. I hope that we can strengthen this article and the one on podiobooks to bring them back with verifiability and clear notability. Best, --Kukini hablame aqui 20:54, 23 April 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Hardeknud
Hi Michael
I can see that you've also seen the mess about Hardeknud (the chap that died in 934) vs. "Canute I". It seems to be both here and on the Danish Wikipedia (da:Knud 1. / Gyrd and Gnupa and da:Knud 1. Hardeknud / Harthacnut of Denmark). I don't know enough about this period but could you patch up a short stub article about what we actually know about this person and delete everything that isn't backed up by Dansk Udenrigspolitiks Historie vol 1, SDE or something similar? And possibly also do something about de:Knut I. (Dänemark), including the interwikis? As I see it, "Knud 1." and "Canute I" should refer to the person that died in 934, in order to make the list fit with Canute the Great as "Canute II" and Canute the Saint as "Canute IV". Thanks in advance. Valentinian T / C 18:29, 24 May 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Let's Get Rolling
The Podcasting wikiproject had a brief initial surge, but has since died away. I admit my part in this, I've been very busy as of late and have had little time to do any sort of editing. However the project has had almost no progress over the last few months. Our first task is to outline notability requirements. I have placed what was 'discussed' on the talk page on the main page, but there is certainly room for more input. Once the requirements are outlined we will need to start removing non-notable podcasts from Wikipedia. You all joined this project for a reason, now let's get the ball rolling.Ganfon 15:39, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

The newsletter is back! Many things have gone on during the past few months, but many things have not. While the assessment drive helped revitalize the assessment department of the project, many other departments have received no attention. Most notably: peer review and our "workgroups". A day long IRC meeting has been planned for October 13th, with the major focus being which areas of the project are "dead", what should our goals be as a project, and how to "revive" the dead areas of our project. Contribute to the discussion on the the new channel (see below) We decided to deliver this newsletter to all project members this month but only those with their names down here will get it delivered in the future. This is your newsletter and you can be involved in the creation of the next issue. Any and all contributions are welcome. Simply let yourself be known to any of the undersigned or post news on the next issue's talk page
Lastly, a new WikiProject Biography channel has been set up on the freenode network: Our thanks to Phoenix 15 for setting it up.

[edit] WikiProject Podcasting
Hi Michael riber jorgensen, I noticed you were on the list as a member of WikiProject Podcasting! 2008 brings new updates to the project, such as Wikipedia 1.0 article assessment ratings, and new podcast infoboxes editors are working on.
In order to help us know who is working on writing, sourcing, rating articles, and in general helping out the project, I encourage you to check out the WP:PODCAST main page and move your name into the 2008 members list. If you'd like to still be part, but have a more indirect involvement on the project, feel free to leave your name on the former members list. Of course, if you're too busy with other commitments and wish to leave the project, simply remove your name. We'll sure miss you though! :)
The year ahead we would like to focus our energy on not only improving articles, but also provide WP:RS reliable sources to ensure each article meets WP:V verifiability.
All the best and happy podcasting. --Breno talk 10:11, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
