[edit] Fathers' rights

Hey Michael, Thanks for the great changes you just made... much better. I think you logged out and the IP address is you too, probably. I am trying to encourage people to always make an edit summary, by filling in the little box at the bottom of the screen with a short description of what you've done (and why if necessary). It really helps when looking at the History page. Thanks --Slp1 15:41, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

No problemo! I didn't think you were trying to hide your edits, just thought you might like to know so you can get the credit for them!!! Re edit summaries: if you go into my preferences and then the 'editing' tag you can click a box so that WP reminds you to add an edit summary if you try to save without one. I have this one on, so that I can't forget ;) --Slp1 16:11, 9 March 2007 (UTC)

Can I ask you again to start doing the footnotes according to the Manual of Style giving the author, title, date, etc etc (as requested on the talkpage)? I would also like know the page numbers for the child abuse section: some of the claims there are seem very unlikely e.g. child abuse almost always occurs after separation. I have unsucessfully tried a couple of times to find where you got it from, but 73 pages is a bit much to ask people to wade through!!! --Slp1 22:13, 14 March 2007 (UTC)

Thanks for adding the full reference. I have fixed it up so that it works properly. One thing is that you have to put the template the first time you cite a source, and after that the ref name thing will work perfectly. It is a real pain doing those citations, which is why it is good idea to do it as we go along, otherwise we are left with a really horrible job at some point!! I took out the page number because you are right that it won't work well if we use the ref name thing. But perhaps you could put the page numbers on the talk page for all of those statements in the domestic violence section. Thanks. --Slp1 00:34, 15 March 2007 (UTC)

As of this date and time, I am happy with the article titled Fathers' rights movement. I do not intend to work past 2 or even 4 AM on this article in the future. Michael H 34 18:08, 2 November 2007 (UTC) Michael H 34

[edit] Harmonic Beat -- Global Warming

Nice find. Unfortunately, the Global Warming article is kept under very tight control by a small number of users and an admin who are vehemently opposed to the inclusion of anything that goes against the theory of anthropogenic global warming. Still, I'd hold onto that link if I were you. If you're able to find more sources to back it up, it might be possible to get it included in the article.

Here was my suggested addition:

Tidal forces contribute to ocean currents, which moderate global temperatures by transporting heat energy toward the poles. It has been suggested that harmonic beat variations in tidal forcing may contribute to variations in climate. [1]

[edit] Children's rights

FYI, I moved the section you added at Children's rights movement to Convention on the Rights of the Child, since that's what it was about. • Freechild'sup? 20:51, 23 February 2008 (UTC)

I also want to let you know that I added parenting information to the children's rights article. I would appreciate your review and/or additions - I know there isn't enough there yet. • Freechild'sup? 13:56, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
