MICHAEL C HECHT PE - CHRISTIAN MYSTICAL WRITER - October 2007
Dear Reader,
I came across the works of Jacob Lorber (Gospel of John) when I was working in Saudi Arabia. Jacob Lorber is a noted 19th century mystic. While I was working in Jeddah near the Red Sea, there were these two American Architects who would stand in the hallway with their coffee every morning enthusiastically discussing Lorber. I did not pay much attention to them, but I overheard them say that they had found the answer. A couple of months later the books started circulating in the office. I borrowed the first three books of the Gospel of John. Life was slow in Saudi. There wasn't much to do. So I used my office time to read the work.I was not that enamored with the work at first. The discussions about John the Baptist and the other clarifications that were part of the first book were not of great interest to me. It was when he began to gather his Men to go on the road that my interest increased. I cannot point to the chapter and verse where my soul elevated to a point when I was convinced of the books great wisdom. The wisdom in the book elevated my consciousness. So I read Jacob Lorber's "A Gospel of John" everyday in the office. When I got to the events in the book concerning his torture and death it greatly affected me as if I was there. In deep emotional distress I offered Him my help on any scale if the need arose. I offered to carry his cross out of Love for his wisdom and because of his horrible death.A couple of months later, I started to feel a presence. As I read and reflected on Lorber, I would feel thoughts that seemed like they were coming from a different source. I am not sure whether they have spiritual reality or are just mine. These feelings persist to this day.I In March of 2005 I started writing, shaping those thoughts into words. I finished a journal a few months later. Unfortunately at that time my thoughts started becoming distorted. It was as if something had hit me with a baseball bat. As I suffered mentally I slowly destroyed the work.I stopped writing and went on with my life. In September of 2007, I came across a journal that I thought that I had thrown away. I read through it and found great wisdom in it. At that point I pulled together what I had left and started writing these books. These books are not pure, nor is it intended to discount anything that any other writer did. It might be food for thought and discussion. It also has some unintentional repetition that arose because of the way I put the work together. Still it is patched up enough to send out. This work is called fictional because there is no earthly reality to it. Jesus hasn't come down to give us a sermon at the pulpit. The darkness here is so great that it is easy to harbor grave doubts. As for me, I will continue to work in my earthly life with my earthly habits, but if I am certain that He is calling me, as the story says he called his men two thousand years ago, I will follow him.
Best Wishes,
Michael Hecht PE
Dear Reader, January 2008
If there is life after death, I have a theory that you walk down that corridor on your own. The bottom line is that you probably have to have your own map on what you think the creation is like. You adopt your own wisdoms that you have acculumated through life which have been sorted by your life's experiences and reflections. Where your wisdoms are accurate I think you recieve an even road and where there are misconceptions there are roads to more enlightenment. If you read these books you may find some wisdoms to add to your map. Perhaps you will not. As everyone's road is different, I cannot say for certainty. So I have presented my map, not as a certainty, but for your own reflection and thought. It is my theory that very few souls are doomed. If you are a good neighbor and act mainly out of your heart, I think there is a path illuminated for you as you move on to the next life. I think that it is fairness; as a Hindu soul in India should have the same rights to a hereafter as a Christian in Europe or America. I think that the infinite spirit loves everybody the same. If that is true then He in the long run doesn't neglect anyone. Of course, I will learn just like anyone else how much use my map is when it is my turn to change lives. I hope each reader of these works finds great joy and wisdom in these works as I have. My definition of fiction is "not of earth reality"; however as you read these paragraphs, you may find that some of the words melt your hearts, at least that is my hope.
Best Wishes,
Michael C Hecht PE

Outskirts Author’s New Book Sheds Light on Christ’s Message
January 7, Denver, CO and Kansas City, MO – An eye-opening and thought-provoking read, Michael Hecht’s “Is It Him? Volume 1” is a journey into one man’s religious experience that, according to the author, might or might not be divinely inspired.
Just published by Outskirts Press and soon to be available now through the company’s online bookstore at outskirtspress.com/store.php, “Is It Him?” presents Hecht’s profound visions of the wisdom of Jesus Christ through a cacophony of voices in prose and poetry. Different from most works dealing with Christian fundamentals, the book eschews traditional Biblical explication and instead presents first-person vignettes of the divine spirit’s efforts, over the centuries, to bring man into the fold, as well as His dealings with an earthly scribe who would dutifully record the divine truth.
This enlightening book was penned seemingly of inspiration received from a higher muse, reports Hecht. It follows visions of Christ’s wisdom that began coming to him beginning in 1995, after Hecht discovered “The Gospel of John,” According to Jakob Lorber, which describes the day-to-day experience of Christ’s ministry on Earth. As its title suggests, however, “Is It Him?” challenges readers to come to their own conclusions. “My soul is definitely earthbound, but my writings seems as they are from above,” he writes. “It is up to the reader to decide. I can barely decide myself!”
This unique title is a must for those seeking a deeper understanding of the fundamental Christian experience. “Is It Him?” will soon be available by the end of January through Ingram, Baker & Taylor, Amazon.com, barnesandnoble.com, and the online bookstore of Outskirts Press, at outskirtspress.com/store.php.

Outskirts Press Author’s Newest Work Continues Insights into Christ’s Message
January 8, Denver, CO and Kansas City, MO – The second in an important series examining the precepts of Christianity from the unique perspective of the Christ himself, Michael Hecht’s new book, “Is It Him? Volume 2,” is an enlightening read that continues the work set out in the first installment.
The book, published this week by Outskirts Press, Inc., and immediately available through the company’s online bookstore at outskirtspress.com/store.php, deals with nothing less than man’s past, present and future relationship with God—from Christianity’s nascent beginnings to visions of a final Judgment Day. In a mystical prose style that challenges readers to think more deeply about their received knowledge of Christianity and the Bible, Hecht’s book sheds light on the connection between the true divine consciousness and its mediated representation through texts, opening up a broader spiritual meaning. The picture that emerges is a fascinating portrait that might just change the way readers approach their relationship with God, the earth and each other.
As in Volume 1, this subsequent work took form through divine inspiration, Hecht reports. It follows visions of Christ’s wisdom that began coming him beginning in 1995, after Hecht discovered “The Gospel of John,” by Jakob Lorber, which describes the day-to-day experience of Christ’s ministry on Earth. As its title suggests, however, “Is It Him?” challenges readers to come to their own conclusions.
