It would be interesting to provide some specific examples where the microwave method has improved the selectivity, yield, or rate. Perhaps something like: X and Y (reference) reacted A and B with microwave heating to obtain C with 96% yield of the trans product, compared to 70% yield for the thermal reaction at 120oC.
