I've updated to reflect that in Europe AutoRoute is sold as a small business and home product. MapPoint Europe is for corporate users.

Streets & Trips is North America only.

What is meant by "Microsoft MapPoint as a software is updated yearly."? The MapPoint Client software has had releases with version numbesrs 2002, 2004 and 2006. (Europe 2006 isn't even out yet.) How is this yearly? 163.1.151.230 22:41, 26 May 2006 (UTC)

Worth noting for international users that the maps are restricted to what Microsoft have provided and are unlikely to provide sufficient detail (below location of a city). Though there are some tools (www.mapmaker.com, for example) that can be used to load in a map - one must first go through the work of digitizing such. Digitizing is time consuming - a graphic map (say of a city's streets) might appear as a background in another product, but will not be importable. Instead, one must use another software package to redraw such a map, identifying landmarks, streets, postcodes, etc. before such is useful in MapPoint.
