Talk:Mickey O'Neil

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

[edit] Reversion

I have reverted the article to the previous version (by myself). My reason for this is that the previous version has 3 sources which verify the facts in the article, but more importantly, it does not contain the large number of direct quotes which were subsequently added. The non-free content guidelines say that "Brief quotations of copyrighted text may be used to illustrate a point, establish context, or attribute a point of view or idea...Extensive quotation of copyrighted text is prohibited." I would say that dialog from a film is definitely copyrighted. Also, Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and as such, extensive quotes don't really add anything. Featured articles on characters such as Jack Sparrow, Palpatine and Jason Voorhees don't contain block of verbatim quotes. I'd appreciate it if we could discuss before adding more quotes.
