The date of the beginning of the terms of the Speaker of the House and Minority Leader were changed from November 7, 2006 to January 10, 2007. While November 7, 2006 was Election Day, the offices of Speaker of the House and Minority Leader were not nominated by their respective caucuses until the following week and the positions filled the second Wednesday of January per the Michigan Constitution. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.56.206.27 (talk) 01:39, 21 September 2007 (UTC)
