[edit] Family name
The original name of the Vartan family is Vartanian (sometimes spelled Vartanyan), not Vartanidis. Michael's aunt Sylvie Vartan was born Vartanian; we could logically assume that Michael's full name is Michael Vartanian, but I found no mention of this, so maybe the family legally changed the name and he is actually called Vartan.
