[edit] Date of Birth
I'm replacing "born 1996" as a carelessly mistaken inference from his age on the date of his 300 game. The simplest calculation is by successive approximations, ending with this check on the result:
- From Nov. 23, 1995 to February 28, 2006 is 10 years, 3 months, 5 days. Each day in March is another day, for a total of 10 years, 3 months, 16 days on March 11, 2006.
Measuring age in years, months, and days is kinda flaky: e.g., notice that the first six months of the year total 2 or 3 days shorter than the last six, so people born Jan 1 are younger, in days, than those born July 1, on their respective "half-birthdays". Possibly arguments can be made for other DoBs, via checks that in effect factor in a longer or shorter month's length in days, as i relied in part on the fact that Feb. 2006 had 28 days. If so, we need an independent DoB source, or "born c. Nov. 23, 1995".)
