[edit] His age in Woodstock

If he was born in July 1949, he was 20 in Woodstock. I don't know if he was the youngest, then.Tushyk 06:56, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

I have always heard that he was 19 at Woodstock. Shrieve himself says that he had turned 19 right before the festival, quoted in the book "Woodstock: An Inside Look at the Movie That Shook Up the World and Defined a Generation" (published by Michael Wiese Film Productions, 1999). I would suggest that his correct date of birth is July 1950, but I have no other way of verifying this.

All sources seem to indicate 1949 is the correct year. Of course, many of them also contain the conflicting claim he was 19 at Woodstock. He actually lives around the corner, so I could ask him, but a) it would be a somewhat impudent question which I am disinclined to ask, and b) it would probably count as "original research" and violate the rules anyway. Safest route seems to be to stick to the verifiable and source-able facts (birthday) and remove the unverifiable ones. Sarcasmboy 21:56, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
