[edit] Copyright

A good bit of this page seems to be cut and pasted from mantlermusic.com. Unless express permission to distribute this content under the GFDL or a GFDL-compatible license is granted, this content must be rewritten or deleted from Wikipedia. --Dystopos 00:26, 7 March 2006 (UTC)

In addition, the article needs to be cleaned up considerably — wikified, lots of capitals made lower case, etc. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 16:49, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

I am the author of the material included from my own website mantlermusic.com - the use of all material is expressly permitted (and I have no idea what a GFDL or a GFDL-compatible license is -- nor, unfortunately, the time to find out - any help if this is necessary?) -- Michael Mantler

Is it really necessary (and in the spirit of Wikipedia?) to include seemingly irrelevant and certainly not specific to this article, very basic links to items such as place names: United States (!), Hamburg, Berlin, etc., or instruments: violin, keyboards, etc. Isn't that overdoing things a bit?

--> instructions at the GFDL link are incomprehensible to me. As the above says, permission is granted. I really don't care. Maybe somebody can put a copy of this license into this mysterious GNU etc etc section? Thanks. Over and out.

"I really don't care." As if we needed another reason to love this man!
