Talk:Michael Maniaci

[edit] Please do not delete
Maniacci is mentioned in so many music articles now and he has red wiki-links all over the place that I thought I would start the page. Give me some time to build it please. The man made the front cover of the entertainment section for the New Tork Times for goodness sake and has sung lead roles with three of the big four opera companies in the US including the Metropolitan OperaNrswanson (talk) 07:02, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- No problem. Just please try and add some citations to the article. That's a major requirement for any article on WP, as I'm sure you are aware. will381796 (talk) 07:14, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

- The wording of many areas in this article deviates far from a neutral point of view. For example: "What makes Maniaci such an exciting singer is that he can sing these high castrato roles in a style and sound like the castrato of old, a sound the world hasn't heard for about a hundred and fifty years." Similar statements are found throughout. will381796 (talk) 07:34, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Well I will try to get rid of such language but you wanted me to prove relevence. And the fact is he is the only man in over 150 years who can do what he does is exciting and that is why there is so much attention being given to him.Nrswanson (talk) 07:43, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

- That's fine. Just try and do it while maintaining a neutral point of view and avoiding WP:WEASEL words. will381796 (talk) 07:59, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- How do things look now?Nrswanson (talk) 08:47, 9 December 2007 (UTC)
- Much better. May I suggest perhaps some sort of infobox? I don't know if your opera project usually incorporates infoboxes about your singers, but many biographies do include them. will381796 (talk) 04:07, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
