Michael (pronounced Michel) Lupo was employed at Rive Gauche (YSL) in Knightsbridge. (I visited him there on several occasions.)
He was not a soldier. (The idea is hysterical.)
His full name was Michel DeMarco Lupo, and he was half-Italian and his Mother was French. He was fluent in both French and Italian. He was raised by his grandmother in London.
