This statement appeared as the conclusion to this article:

"Johnston's case is part of a pattern of "ex-gays" who later engaged in homosexual acts. Gay rights activists have viewed it as the final "nail in the coffin" of the ex-gay movement."

This statement is POV; thus it has been removed. Likewise, this statement adds nothing meaningful to the article:

"Several anti-gay groups declared that Johnston's "moral fall" would not in any way damage the credibility of the ex-gay movement."

As such it has been removed. Michaelh 05:45, 29 Jul 2004 (UTC)

[edit] Stephen Bennett

The link to Stephen Bennett linked to an English Pro golfer. I don't think this is the Stephen Bennett referred to in this article. Removing Wiki link. --69.49.165.169 07:50, 20 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Ex-gay person?

'Johnston’s fortunes came crashing down in 2003 when it was learned that while he was traveling around the country decrying what he considered the depravity of homosexuals, he was hosting orgies, taking drugs and practicing unsafe sex without disclosing his HIV status ([2]). ' If this is the case, then in what meaningful sense is Johnston 'ex-gay'? Should he be listed in this category at all? Skoojal (talk) 07:37, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
