I created the article because a) he was an elected official on a national level, so he's inherently notable (which would be true no matter what country he came from), and b) he was already linked from half a dozen pages - everything from Tammany Hall to Eastern Airlines Flight 537. I don't live in the US so I don't have access to a lot of the resources an American editor would. Edit to add: The only information I've added is from his Congressional biography. If there's information from somewhere else that can be added, it should be. He was a Tammany Hall leader (and I don't know what that means), so there must be some good sources for information available. --Charlene 21:28, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
