This is an inaccurate entry. Michael Gawenda was never forced to apologise and indeed never did apologise to anyone for the paper's coverage of the Middle East. I am Michael Gawenda and I know what I did and did not do. I received criticism from both sides, always listened to reasonable critics--never to the abusers and hysterics.
