A Michael GC Fidler contested Derby South in 1966 for the Conservatives. He was born in 1921, according to the 1966 Times Guide. It seems too great a coincidence - can this article be checked once again in the later guides? Mtiedemann 11:18, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

I think it's a different person - there has been numerous name-saked MPs such as James Callaghan, Alan Williams, John Smith etc. --Dovea 09:31, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
