[edit] Spelling of 'Zep'

At IMDB's Saw page and in the end credits of the Saw DVD, the spelling of the name Zep Hindle is with one 'p'. I believe this is ample reason to leave it spelled that way...

...as petty (and geeky) as this makes me seem, the reason I changed the spelling was on the official soundtrack for "Saw", the two final songs are named "Hello Zepp" and "Zepp Overature". At the end of the day I think I'll survive no matter how it's spelt though.

Hahaha...I never knew that. (I must be just as big of a geek, though...I went and checked the credits at the end of the DVD to make sure it was spelled with one 'p' and not two =/) I would say it should be left with one 'p' when it's in reference to the movie, since that's the way it's credited there...if there's a page for the soundtrack, 'Zepp' would make sense there.

On the Saw website they have it spelled.."Zap"..so ha! who knows.

Wikiburger- I've changed the spelling back to 'Zep.' That's how it's spelled in the movie's credits and on IMDB. Flummery 17:20, 19 June 2006 (UTC)

I'm not familiar with Wikipedia's external links policy, but I'm confused as to why 2 helpful links and an unofficial site were removed, while the other unofficial site was left, so I reverted back until someone can explain that... - Flummery 18:45, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Again, those 2 links were removed without any explanation. I've read Wiki's guidelines, and I can accept that those are removed, but the other unofficial site would fall in the same category, as it "does not provide a unique resource beyond what the article here would have".

[edit] Third opinion on External links

I'm requestion a third opinion on the External links issue.

Someone (most recent IP being 125.212.8.192) keeps removing all but 1 of the externl links for this article. The 1 link they're leaving up is for an unofficial site, that simply has information copied from the article. I'm confused as to why he/she keeps inserting that link, but removing the other 3. The other 3 are:

1) A fan message board, which I can understand being removed. 2) A link to Emerson's off-Broadway theater history. 3) A link to Emerson's Broadway theater history.

I've tried reverting, but they revert it back. I tried getting them to leave their reasons for this on the talk page twice, but no response. I don't understand why the unofficial site that has simply copied the information from the Wiki article can stay in External links but the other 3 links cannot.

Found my way here via WP:3O. It's a bit troublesome that the other editor won't discuss the changes -- to continue assuming good faith, I'll choose to interpret that to mean that they're new to Wikipedia, aren't aware of talk page guidelines, and probably aren't getting any messages at their user talk, since they're on a dynamic IP. Per external link guidelines, a blog might be linked to if it were Emerson's personal blog; this one appears to be run by a fan. I can't point out any specific instances where it's been used as a source, but per reliable sources, blogs generally don't qualify for that in any case. One compromise in a lot of external link discussions is to allow fansite links within moderation, and at this point I really doubt the article's integrity is hurt by just leaving all of the links in. *shrug* I can see grounds for getting rid of the blog and the forum; I'm not clear on why the two *db links are being removed. A redlink means that there is no article for that subject yet. The possible fixes are: (1) Create an article; or (2) Remove the link, by deleting the [[ and ]] tags. --Elonka 06:06, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
