Talk:Michael Devine
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Yes, that is exactly what I am saying. Most of the hunger strikers were not involved in petty crime before becoming involved in paramilitary activity. Also untypically, he did not come from a large extended family. See Beresford's book. PatGallacher 10:49, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Petty Crime
There are two separate claims being made here:
- Michael Devine was involved in petty crime before becoming involved in the republican movement
- Involvement in petty crime was atypical of the hunger strikers.
Neither of these claims is cited, so in my opinion User:Weggie is justified in removing them. Note that he/she is only removing uncited claims, not presenting uncited claims of his/her own. Demiurge 09:58, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
They are not uncited, the source is Beresford's account "Ten Men Dead". PatGallacher 10:03, 8 September 2006 (UTC)
