Microsoft Gatineau

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Microsoft Gatineau is the Beta name of the Microsoft Analytics package. It is similar to Google Analytics and is tied into the Microsoft adCenter in the same way Google has now tied Google Analytics into Google Adwords. This has led to some complaints by webmasters, due to a five dollar fee for sign up, compared to the lack of cost to use Google Analytics[1].

With the Gatineau beta, you can learn more about where your website visitors come from and easily measure your marketing campaigns. Features include: - Click and visitor tracking - Marketing campaign reporting - Conversion tracking - Demographic and geographic segmentation

In 2006 Microsoft acquired DeepMetrix Corporation and used the analytics technology to deliver Gatineau.
