Microsoft Codename "Jasper"
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Microsoft Codename "Jasper" (also called Dynamic ADO.NET)[1] is an ADO.NET incubation project being developed by Microsoft which aims for simpler integration between the data access layer and the presentation layer in an application. "Jasper" can dynamically generate data classes, representing the data in the database, given a connection string, which can then be auto-bound to ASP.NET, WinForms and WPF UI widgets. It can also create the mapping between an EDM and the underlying database, or create classes from an EDM schema.
Jasper has been released as a CTP. However, in the current release it supports only VB.NET and IronPython.[2]
